The Rocky River Chamber Music Society announces the start of its 56th season with a concert of music on “one piano four hands” performed by renowned pianists Thomas Labé and Hyunsoon Whang on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. As always, the site of this concert is the acoustically excellent sanctuary at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, 20401 Hilliard Boulevard, Rocky River, OH 44116.

Not only are pianists Thomas Labé and Hyunsoon Whang an acclaimed piano duo, they are also a married couple. Both are scholars and professors in the Department of Music at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Both have performed on national and international stages including Carnegie Hall, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Aspen Music Festival, and the Staatstheater in Darmstadt, Germany. These artists have made numerous recordings, and Mr. Labé is a voting member of The Recording Academy which manages the nomination and voting process for the Grammy Awards.

The program of this concert contains music that will be familiar to many, beginning with Schubert’s beautiful Fantasie in F minor, and ending with Dukas’ rousing Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
